Storage used to provide the service
ELD Factory uses essential browser and device storage to maintain an authenticated session, protect account access, and preserve the explicit local demonstration. This notice describes the current implementation. The Privacy Policy explains information held by the service and its suppliers.
We do not use the cookies or local-storage entries described here for targeted advertising. The current native previews do not include advertising or analytics SDKs. Cloudflare may use security cookies or similar mechanisms when delivering or protecting the site; those serve network, abuse-prevention, and access-security functions.
Cloudflare also supplies hosting traffic statistics and adds a Web Analytics script to hosted pages. Site and browser security controls may block that script. Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics measurement does not use cookies, local storage, or individual fingerprinting. Hosting request and security logs are separate; removing cookies does not stop a hosting provider from receiving the requests needed to deliver a page. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for its description of the measurement.
Browser storage details
| Storage | Purpose | Duration or control |
|---|---|---|
__Host-geld-session |
Authenticates an ELD Factory web session. It is a secure, HTTP-only session cookie, so ordinary page scripts cannot read its value. | Up to 30 days, subject to server-side expiration or revocation. Sign out to end the current session; browser controls can remove the local cookie. |
general-eld-demo-v2 |
Stores the explicit sample workspace in browser local storage. It does not create authoritative company or driver records. | Persists in that browser until the site's local storage is cleared. |
| Hosting and security storage | Cloudflare may maintain security-related browser state when its protections are applied. | Depends on the security feature used. Browser site-data controls can inspect and clear local entries. |
Enter sample information only in the demonstration. A shared browser profile can retain demonstration data for the next person using that profile.
Native device storage and server records
ELD Factory's native previews use protected device storage for session information and pending account-bound actions so an interrupted operation can be handled consistently. These are separate from a website cookie. Protect access to the device and use the application's sign-out controls.
Sign-in codes expire after ten minutes. Code, session, security, and record information held on our servers is not removed simply by clearing a browser cookie. Expiration of a code or session is also different from erasing every related security record. See Account and Data Deletion to request removal of account information.
Your controls
You can inspect, block, or remove cookies and site storage through your browser's privacy settings. Blocking the sign-in cookie prevents the browser from maintaining an authenticated session. Clearing the demo entry removes that browser's sample workspace. Clearing local data does not cancel an agreement or delete records held by ELD Factory or an authorized organization.
The listed storage serves session, demonstration, or security purposes. Cloudflare describes its Web Analytics measurement as operating without cookies or local storage; this site does not offer an analytics-consent switch. If we introduce optional storage or other processing that requires a choice or consent, we will provide it before that use and update this notice. For questions, contact accounts@generaleld.com.
