Professional accounts are for adults
ELD Factory accounts are for people aged 18 or older using the service for a lawful professional purpose. By requesting or using an account, you represent that you meet that requirement and have authority for the organization actions you perform. This age threshold is General Software Company LLC's service-eligibility choice.
It is not a statement that every person aged 18 is legally qualified to drive every commercial vehicle, nor a substitute for a license, training, a carrier's authorization, or any applicable age rule. Drivers and carriers must independently meet the requirements for their actual operations.
ELD Factory is not designed as a children's service. Parental permission does not create eligibility for a professional ELD Factory account.
Age information and suitability
We do not currently collect a date of birth or an identity document to operate a separate age-verification process. An account holder's eligibility representation should not be mistaken for verified age. Driver-license information supplied for an authorized carrier record serves that record's purpose; this notice does not turn it into a general age-verification service.
A future app-store rating describes suitability under that store's system. It does not replace these account terms or establish a person's legal driving qualifications. The service does not currently offer downloadable public app-store releases.
Different choices remain separate
Accepting service terms, proving control of an email account, joining an organization, linking a driver, certifying a record, and granting a device permission are different actions. One does not automatically authorize all the others. An organization administrator must act within its authority, and a connection must use the permissions provided for that connection.
Current ELD Factory native previews do not request location, Bluetooth, camera, or microphone permissions. If a future supported feature needs such access, the relevant explanation and permission must be presented when appropriate. A general statement in these policies does not grant a device permission or replace consent required by law.
You can ask about withdrawing consent or ending a connection through accounts@generaleld.com. We will explain the effect on the relevant feature and any separate obligation to retain information already lawfully recorded. See the Privacy Policy.
If a child has supplied information
If you believe a person under 18 has opened an ELD Factory account, or that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, contact accounts@generaleld.com. Identify the concern and the relevant account if known. Do not send a child's identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive information in the initial message.
We will review the concern, take appropriate steps to address account eligibility and information handling, and explain any verification reasonably needed. An adult-only policy does not eliminate responsibilities that may apply when a service learns it holds a child's personal information. We do not offer a parental-consent route for children to use professional accounts.
